About ABACUS - A Human Calculator
HISTORY: The soroban, counting tray is an Abacus developed in Japan. It is derived from the Chinese suanpan, imported to Japan around 1600 AD. Like the suanpan, the soroban is still used today, despite the proliferation of practical and affordable pocket electronic calculators.
Despite the popularity of calculators, the soroban is very much in use today across the world. The Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry conducts examinations which soroban users can take to obtain licenses
NEED OF ABACUS: As we all know that Mathematics is the only subject which needs lots and lots of calculations like Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Decimals, Square roots and so on... And if we are mostly dependent on calculators for quicker calculations. But the calculators are not allowed in examinations.
Abacus is the only tool, by practising, can be used virtually for solving all the mathematical calculations
with speed and accuracy. Thats why

HOW BRAIN WORKS
Left part of the brain controls Right Part of the Body and
Right part of the brain controls the Left part of the body.
At birth LEFT & RIGHT brain are equally developed, but with the passage of time LEFT brain becomes dominant, as it gets regular exercise by virtue of our culture, environment, atmosphere & Education system which restricts RIGHT brain exercise.

ABACUS AND RIGHT BRAIN
We use physical Abacus with left hand so that the Right Brain is activated.
Abacus Math action involves use of following for performing Mental Arithmetic:
1. Imaginative thinking, (Think about Abacus Beads while calculation)
2. Picture memory (Beads position acts as picture)
3. Spatial/Visual thinking (Abacus pictures are used for arithmetic calculations)
These functions of our brain are seated in the Right Brain and Right Brain is the seat for Creative Intelligence. Its continuous usage stimulates the right brain to deliver healthy and active work from a Creative Mind.

How ABACUS Works?
We make the Child to learn:
1. How to ascertain the place value by sliding beads.
2. Positioning of beads indicates place value.
3. Every place value is an image or picture.
4. A child everyday practices in abacus for minimum 500 Images of Pictures.
5. Therefore in 3 Level training the child would have practiced more than 1.4 lacs Images or Pictures. In the same way in 8 levels a child would have practiced more than 4 lacs Images or Pictures.

Right Age of Learning (5 to 14 years) : Human brain starts to develop at the age of 3 yrs and extends to 100% between 5-14 yrs of age. At 5 yrs the child has a very absorbent mind. Their mind is fresh and free from all the responsibilities, stress and tensions of life. Therefore we believe in nourishing an absorbent mind. Beside this child at this tender age are free from calculators, computers and such modern dependent gadgets thereby becoming self reliant.
